Editorial Policy
How we create, review, source, and correct the content we publish — and the standards we hold it to.
Our editorial standards
Every article we publish is written to be accurate, useful, and honest. We aim to explain topics clearly, avoid hype, and give you the information you need to make a confident decision — not to fill a page with keywords.
How we create content
Our content is written by people with subject-matter knowledge, informed by reputable sources and our own hands-on experience. Drafts go through an editorial review for clarity, accuracy, and tone before they are published. Where a topic touches health, legal, financial, or other consequential decisions, we hold it to a higher bar of evidence and review.
Expert review
Articles on topics that affect your health, safety, or finances are reviewed by a qualified professional. When an article has been reviewed, the reviewer and the date of that review are shown near the top of the page, and their credentials are listed on their profile. A review confirms the content is accurate and current as of the review date.
Sourcing and citations
We cite authoritative, primary sources — peer-reviewed research, official guidelines, and recognized industry bodies — wherever a claim benefits from support. When an article cites sources, they are listed in a Sources & references section at the end of the article so you can verify the information yourself.
Updates and corrections
We keep our content current. When information changes, we update the article and revise its "last updated" date; reviewed articles are re-checked and carry a "last reviewed" date. If you spot an error, please contact us — we take corrections seriously and act on them promptly.
Use of AI
We may use AI tools to assist with research and drafting, but every published article is directed, edited, and verified by a person. We do not publish unedited AI-generated content, and expert-reviewed articles are always checked by a qualified human reviewer.
This policy is reviewed periodically to reflect our current practices.
